“Whisky friends” is a term Anneke often uses for people I know through the whisky scene. Mostly these are people I’ve met at tastings, but also folks from the “Oeskobar” society — as she still calls it after years of ‘improving’ the term.
No, Anneke, the club isn’t named after a Colombian drug dealer! It doesn’t help that she probably thinks it’s very funny to tease me about it.
All in all, it is a fitting term — and arguably better than when I played Magic (the Gathering) and she would always call them “your magic nerds…” Of course she doesn’t mean it in a bad way.
In any case, whisky friends make tastings and festivals a lot more fun to visit because there are ALWAYS people you know and can chat with — both in front of and behind the tables.
Is dit iets voor je vrouw.
